‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Dramatic Finale: Engagements, Breakups, & Lots Of Love Beyond The Beach! – Perez Hilton

It’s been a spicy summer on ABC‘s Bachelor in Paradise!

We had huge drama involving Blake Horstmann, Stage Coach Music Festival, and a textposé. There was a massive beach brawl between Christian Estrada and Jordan Kimball. And we even had Bachelor Nation’s first same sex romance between Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty.

But honestly, nothing could top the drama that took place during Tuesday’s finale episode and reunion. Let’s break it down for you, shall we?

There was so much love on the beach, but who ended up walking away with Neil Lane rings??

Demi Burnett and Kristian Haggerty

Following a dramatic beginning with Derek Peth, Demi is now ready to fall even deeper in love with girlfriend Kristian. On the beach, Burnett got down on one knee and proposed to her flame!

We just hope Demi gets more comfortable in the skin she’s in, and Haggerty’s flirty ways stop bothering her. The gals clearly have lots of love for one another!

However, their love story doesn’t end there!

In the studio, Kristian shocked the audience when she asked Demi to stand up, and grabbed a ring from host Chris Harrison. She then said to Burnett:

“Demi, will you marry me?”

Not surprisingly, Demi accepts! So beautiful!

Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin

Fan faves Dylan Barbour and Hannah Godwin have been mushy gushy ever since the influencer chose her boo over Blake earlier in the season. Glad that love triangle ended swiftly! We do feel like these two have genuine love for each other — and hope they go the distance! In fact, in the studio, Dylan revealed Hannah is moving to California! Get it, you two!

Katie Morton and Chris Bukowski

Bachelor Nation veteran Chris Bukowski FINALLY got his happy ending in Katie Morton… well, kind of.

After the two got engaged in Paradise, a solo Morton appeared in the studio NOT wearing her engagement ring. Though the two are “still engaged,” Katie admitted:

“I just put in so much effort everyday, and I love him so much, but I put in so much that my tank empties. And if I’m not getting it filled, I break down.”

When asked if she has considered breaking up, Morton says she doesn’t want to, revealing:

“I want him to want it to be better.”

Then, Bukowski comes on stage and admits:

“Look, relationships aren’t easy.”

While Chris is “not one to really show emotion too often,” he tells his fiancée:

“I want to give you all of that back, because you deserve it. I guess I am a little bit slower with that than you are.”

Though Bukowski attempts to give Morton an out — Katie “[wants] to be in it,” and asks for her ring — which Chris puts on her finger.

When the two exit the studio, they begin arguing!

Chris: “You blindsided me for sure.”

Katie: “I didn’t want to blindside you, ever.”

After Bukowski said the couple “already have these conversations,” Morton remarked, “nothing changes.”

At the end of the episode, the two went their separate ways outside.

So… is the engagement still on or nah??

Splits were bound to happen following Fantasy Suites, as couples faced the scary truth of leaving Mexico without a ring. The pair who decided to part ways might surprise you, though! It was…

Clay Harbor and Nicole Lopez-Alvar

Although their connection seemed strong, Clay Harbor and Nicole Lopez-Alvar decided to end things. Viewers knew the Miami native was ready to settle down, while the former footballer had emotions up in the air and couldn’t say three very important words. Yikes!!

Continuing Love Connections

While many cast-mates were on team “Engagement or Bust,” a few sexy singles chose to forego a proposal and decided to see where things went beyond the dreamy oceanfront resort.

Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes

We saw Caelynn Miller-Keyes fall head over heels for playboy Dean Unglert, get her heart broken ON HER BIRTHDAY, find her heart again with Connor, and then get swept off the beach by Dean again. While this connection seemed fleeting to most, we can happily report both reality stars are still together! And thriving!

During the finale’s closing credits, viewers saw the couple live it up in Unglert’s van!

Connor Saeli and Whitney Fransway

After getting his heart smashed by Caelynn, Connor Saeli decided to leave the beach after a gal he lusted after at Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson’s wedding didn’t walk down the stairs. Cue a very staged, dramatic moment where Connor and Whitney Fransway missed each other by minutes, only to reunite at his hotel room an hour later. And believe it or not, the lovebirds are still together following their brief stint in Paradise!

Tayshia Adams and John Paul Jones

Following a BRUTAL breakup on last week’s episode, Tayshia Adams and John Paul Jones are back together post-finale. The unlikely duo reunited, after Tayshia had a conversation with her mom about her man. She traveled down to Maryland to win JPJ’s heart back, and successfully snatched it!

In the studio. JPJ even got down on one knee… to recite the same poem he read to her on the beach. How cute!!
